Baking Soda Paste
Make a paste of baking soda mixed with warm water. Apply the paste 2x per day to the affected toenail for 1 week. After applying rinse the baking soda paste off and then dry your feet before putting on your socks and shoes. After a short time you’ll notice your symptoms improve. The the old damaged toenail may become loose and ultimately come off with a new toenail growing over time.
Baking soda can help change the microbiome and support the skins self-healing mechanism. People also have seen great results with freshening up your smelly shoes. Sprinkle a little baking soda in your shoes, or even your socks to help keep your feet dry, thereby preventing fungus growth. Try it out … prevention is the best medicine.
Another mixture that has shown excellent results against fungal infections is combining baking soda with tea tree oil (and optional basil oil, sage oil, and arrowroot). Add it to your toes and feet before you put on your socks or shoes. Don’t be surprised to see less fungal growth and odor quickly.
